6 Carrots,
Sliced
2 Cups dry
oatmeal
1/2 Cup
molasses
1 1/2 Cups
applesauce
Mix all
ingredients together until coated in a feed bucket.

5 hay cubes
1/2 cup
molasses
sweet feed
Pour
molasses onto a plate with a lip. Roll hay cubes in molasses
until they are covered, then sprinkle sweet feed over
them-just enough to stick to the cubes as a garnish.

Rolled Carrot Nibbles
3 carrots
with green tops
1/3 cup
cracked corn or feed
1/4 cup
molasses
Brown Sugar
Cut up
carrots into 3 inch pieces. cut carrots tops off but set
aside. Pour molasses onto a plate with a lip. Mix about 1 to
3 tablespoons, to thicken molasses. Onto another plate
spread feed or cracked corn.
Roll carrots in the molasses mixture until they are
completely covered. Then roll carrots in to the feed or
cracked corn. Wrap carrot tops around rolled carrot. If you
have extra sauce drizzle over top of treat.

Salad
6 Apples,
quartered
8 Carrots
cut into 3 inch pieces
2 cups
Quaker Oats
1 cup Sweet
Feed
Molasses
Combine all
ingredients together and fold in enough molasses to make the
oatmeal and grain stick to the fruit. Chill over night and
serve on Christmas morning.

Granola Balls
1/2 Cup
rolled oats
1/4 Cup
bran
1 Heaping
tablespoon sugar
1Tablespoon
molasses
1
Tablespoon honey
1
Tablespoon water
Combine
oats, sugar, molasses and honey, mixing thoroughly. Add
water until consistency is thick and moist. but not drippy.
Refrigerate dough 1 hour. Form dough into golf ball sized
lumps. To keep dough from sticking to your hands, wipe hands
lightly with corn oil. (Feed Immediately.)

2 Cups oats
1 Cup sweet
feed
Handful
Alfalfa leaves
Few tufts
of Broome hay heads
Mix the
oats, sweet feed together and pour into feed bucket.
Sprinkle the alfalfa leaves over the mixture and arrange
broome hay heads on top. ( Serve immediately.)

Applesauce Horse Cookies
1 Cup Sweet
feed
2-3 Cups
bran
1 Cup Flax
Seed
1
Tablespoon salt
4 large
Carrots, shredded
1 Cup
molasses
1/2 Cup
brown sugar
1 Cup applesauce
Mix the molasses, brown
sugar, carrots and applesauce in 1 bowl. In another Mix dry
ingredients. Slowly combine the molasses mixture with dry
ingredients. Add only enough molasses mixture to form a
thick dough. Add more bran if necessary. Line cookie sheet
with aluminum foil. Using a tablespoon, drop batter onto
cookie sheet and flatten slightly about the size of a
half dollar. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour, flip cookies
bake an additional 45 minutes until they are dried. But
don't burn.

Mix
the Calgon with water (one Part Calgon to 3 parts water in a
spray bottle. Spray on mane and tail to help recondition.
Also works well on knots with a comb or stiff brush.
